Here, where the air is free
Eldan and I are currently in Bellevue, WA! We've spent the past few days tracking down our stuff (moving things from two locations has proved to be, er, problematic), finding an apartment, and doing other administrative stuff. I start work on Monday, and we'll move out of temporary housing and into our new place- near Seattle University- sometime next week.
I've written an account of the trip that you can read here, and Eldan is posting a day-by-day trip diary that will likely be much more detailed than mine on his weblog. I do gloss over quite a lot of stuff, especially in the days before we set out from my parents' house, and that's mostly because I was still too burned out from the thesis to think about much.
The time off has certainly done me some good, but I'm eager to get settled into a routine here.
